Dogscapes: A Canine Photography Odyssey

This summer, I have decided to embark on a personal promise to capture the beauty, charm, and spirit of the dogs of NYC through my lens. For 30 days in Summer 2023, I challenge myself to have my camera on my person at most all times while walking in New York City during the day, looking for inspiration for my photographic collections. With my camera as my guide, I will keep a record of the dogs I encounter in city streets, parks, and neighborhoods, seeking out those magical moments that define the essence of these incredible beings.

But Dogscape is more than just a collection of photographs. It is a personal promise to celebrate the canine spirit and inspire others to cherish and protect these remarkable creatures. With each image, I strive to ignite a spark of compassion, encouraging people to open their hearts, adopt, volunteer, and support organizations that advocate for the welfare of dogs.

This challenge allows me to turn my daily walks around the Big Apple into photos that showcase the unique personality, resilience, and joy that radiates from dogs. Every click of the shutter will be an ode to their unwavering loyalty, unwavering love, and unwavering impact on our lives.
