Shelby Carter is a 19-year-old student at Duke University with a passion for veterinary medicine and animal studies, and advocacy.

The project features shelter animals, pets, and wild animals- a variety intended to capture animals as they exist with different levels of human interaction. The project is centered around the animals but is intricately tied to their environment and independence in our “Human-Shaped World.”
